Sony Music UK buys Ministry Of Sound Recordings

Sony Music UK has bought Ministry Of Sound Recordings.

Sony Music UK has acquired Ministry of Sound Recordings. The artist division is an arm of the dance music entertainment business that began with the London nightclub of the same name. It was launched in 1993. 

“Ministry of Sound Recordings had its most successful year to date in 2015,” Ministry of Sound Group CEO Lohan Presencer said. “Sony has the scale and strength within the industry to project our artists and music onto an even bigger platform.” In 2014, the Recordings arm generated £25.48 million ($33 million). Ministry has cumulative album sales exceeding 70 million.
