Alison Wonderland Opens Up About Show Cancellations and Online Backlash

Acclaimed DJ and producer Alison Wonderland recently addressed the intense criticism she's faced after canceling three shows in December 2024. The artist revealed she had to leave Asia for emergency surgery, followed by a severe illness that left her bedridden with a high fever for several days.

In an emotional post on X, Alison explained that canceling the shows was not an easy decision. “Trust me, I was not happy about it,” she wrote, acknowledging the disappointment of fans, particularly those who had tickets for the Hijinx festival. However, she also expressed surprise at the level of harassment she received online.

“Since canceling the three shows, I’ve been getting constant hate on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok,” she shared. “What I’m dealing with in my private life is painful enough.” Alison called for empathy, especially from those in the rave community who uphold the values of peace, love, unity, and respect (PLUR).

While she hinted at sharing more details about her surgery in the future, Alison admitted she’s still processing everything. For now, her priority is healing and focusing on her music.

We wish Alison a full recovery and look forward to seeing her back stronger than ever, sharing her incredible talent with the world.
